Final Aim Supports Honda Hydrogen Business Development Division with AI-Generated Vision Design – Tokyo, Japan

2025.02.18

Ensuring Secure and Reliable AI-Generated Design through Our Design & IP Management Platform

Tokyo, Japan, February 19th, 2025 – Final Aim, Inc. (Headquarters: Delaware, USA / Co-Founder & CEO: Masafumi Asakura, Co-Founder & CDO: Yasuhide Yokoi, hereinafter referred to as “Final Aim”) announced that it has supported the business vision design of Honda Motor Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo, hereinafter referred to as “Honda”) for its hydrogen business development division utilizing generative AI.

Furthermore, the outcomes of this AI-generated vision design will be unveiled for the first time at the “23rd H2 & FC EXPO – International Hydrogen & Fuel Cell Exhibition,” held at Tokyo Big Sight from February 19th to 21st, 2025.

Founded in December 2019, Final Aim established its US headquarters in 2022 and has since been providing “Final Design,” a design & intellectual property management platform that supports new design development with generative AI and intellectual property rights management.

Through this initiative, Final Design was used to assist Honda in designing its hydrogen business vision. As the social implementation of hydrogen energy accelerates, this advanced process helped visualize a part of the future hydrogen society envisioned by Honda.

Final Aim has developed an innovative platform integrating design and IP management necessary for the effective use of generative AI, supporting companies in accelerating their business development and branding. With this approach, generative AI was used to visualize a portion of Honda’s vision for a future hydrogen society.
Moreover, compared to conventional methods, this approach dramatically shortened the time required for vision design. A process typically takes several months was significantly reduced, allowing for the rapid conceptualization of high-quality visuals and concepts in a short period.

Honda aims to achieve carbon neutrality through all its products and corporate activities by 2050. Through this initiative, Final Aim’s generative AI-powered vision design and its Final Design platform, which ensures the safe and reliable use of AI in design and IP management, are expected to contribute to Honda’s efforts in creating a sustainable future.

About AdvancedDesign

Advanced Design was founded by Hector Silva in 2016. As a young educator and designer himself, Hector quickly saw many opportunities for improving education. There was a disconnect between the way design was taught in school and what was demanded of industry. However, against the behemoth of traditional academia, there is little power at the individual level. So, he took matters into his own hands, and Hector built a small team to begin to work to fill those gaps through practical hands-on workshops, bringing together students and professionals. Fast forward five years, and AD has become a mainstay of design education—offering content that highlights excellence in the industry, building diversity in the field, connecting designers through events and workshops, and, through its most ambitious task to date, creating our own design school. Today, AD has over 30 members, advisors, and instructors across the US and continues to build its community base globally.

Program URL: https://www.usjinnovate.org

The jointly organized program “Japan – US Innovation Awards” by the Northern California Japan Society and the US-Asia Technology Management Center at Stanford University selects and honors companies that have made an impact and excelled in both the United States and Japanese markets. Each year, one “Emerging Leader” from the United States, one from Japan, and five “Innovation Showcase” companies are recognized and awarded. Past awardees include startups such as Dropbox, Tesla, Mercari, ABEJA, and Preferred Networks. Last year, GITAI and Kyoto Fusion Engineering were among the recipients, and the awards are widely recognized as a platform for achieving global success.

Specifically, the “Innovation Showcase” recognizes up to five Japanese startup companies built around exciting new technologies and innovative business ideas with the potential for major worldwide impact. The startups are selected from a pool of over 100 nominees through stringent review, discussion, and voting by the Innovation Advisory Council of the Awards Program, a distinguished 45-person committee of venture investors, successful entrepreneurs, company executives, and academic experts in the US and Japan.

As the reasons for our selection, the following factors were taken into account:

– Despite being an early-stage startup, Final Aim achieved collaborations with major design and manufacturing enterprises such as Sony and Panasonic, leveraging blockchain technology.

– Significant business development in the United States, such as the establishment of a US headquarters in April 2022; accepted into Berkeley SkyDeck, a world-renowned Silicon Valley startup accelerator, and being awarded “The most likely to become the next unicorn”; collaboration with Autodesk, the leading 3D CAD software company based in San Francisco; partnership with Design Panasonic in New York.

– Uniqueness and potential scalability of the company’s cutting-edge technologies, such as blockchain and smart contracts to address challenges in the design and manufacturing industry, such as design contracts and intellectual property rights.

In correspondence with the award, the co-program will organize the annual “Japan – U.S. Innovation Awards Symposium” on July 20th, 2023, at Stanford University. Final Aim has been invited to exhibit, and the Co-Founder & CEO, Masafumi Asakura, will speak at the symposium.
